Linseed oil soap is a versatile cleaner, perfect for both stain removal and laundry. Its greasy consistency is key to its effectiveness in dissolving and removing stubborn stains. Our tests show that linseed oil soap can successfully remove tough stains like wine on linen tablecloths, blood on delicate blouses and even save old suede jackets from being thrown away. It can also easily remove more difficult stains like zipper dirt on trousers or soot, often without the garment having to go through a full wash cycle. A simple treatment with linseed oil soap and water can be all that is needed to restore your clothes and textiles.

Machine wash with Linseed Oil Soap

  • Temperature: Hand wash at 60°c
  • 2 tbsp for 5kg of laundry
  • 3 tablespoons for 7kg of laundry

Use 2-3 tablespoons of linseed oil soap for a washing machine with a capacity of 6-7 kg. Place the soap directly in the detergent compartment. The soap handles up to 60-degree washing with flying colors. However, at higher temperatures such as 90 degrees, you should be careful as the soap may clump or cut depending on the characteristics of the machine. We recommend that you do a test with a garment that you are not afraid of first.

Real Linseed Oil Soap is low-foaming and does not produce foam in the machine, resulting in a clean and soft wash. If you prefer a fresh and mild scent, the Linseed Oil Soap with Soft scent is perfect for giving your textiles a freshly washed feeling. To simplify dosing, use a pump for our 5-liter canisters. One pump stroke corresponds to approximately 30 ml, so 1-2 pumps are enough for a normal wash.

Wash white garments with linseed oil soap

Linseed oil soap is an excellent alternative for washing your white clothes, and works just as effectively as traditional detergents. To give your white textiles an extra whitening effect, you can add 1 tablespoon of baking soda to the detergent compartment along with the soap. Then run the washing machine as you normally would. While this is not a miracle cure for already yellowed sheets, this little trick will help preserve the whiteness of your clothes for longer.

Stain removal with soap

Linseed oil soap is effective for stain removal in the washing machine for several reasons:

Natural solvents :
Linseed oil soap contains natural solvents that can effectively break down oily and greasy stains, making it particularly useful for treating tough stains that can be difficult to remove with regular detergents.

Mild alkalinity
:
The soap has a mild alkaline property that helps lift dirt and stains from textiles without damaging the fabric.

Environmentally friendly :
Linseed oil soap is biodegradable and less harmful to the environment compared to many synthetic stain removers and detergents.

Versatility :
In addition to being effective on stains, linseed oil soap also helps maintain and care for textiles, making them softer and more durable.

These properties make linseed oil soap an excellent choice for those looking for a natural and effective solution for stain removal in the washing machine.

Grease stains

Wet the stain with cold water and apply concentrated soap directly to it. Leave for a few minutes before washing in the machine as usual. For best results, pre-wash the stain by hand to completely eliminate it. This method is especially effective on stains such as grass, blood, soot and oil, and it also works well on hard-to-reach areas such as shirt collars and cuffs.

Red wine stains

If you have spilled wine on a white tablecloth or got grass stains on your summer clothes, you don't need to worry. Use Källans Linseed Oil Soap to effectively remove these stains. Apply soap generously directly on and around the stain. For wine stains, the color may change to a blue/green hue during the process, indicating oxidation. After treatment, wash the garment as you normally would. For stubborn stains on colored fabrics, especially those with strong colors like orange, several rounds of soap and rinses may be needed to completely remove the stain. If necessary, let the soap work overnight in cold water.

What is Linseed Oil Soap used for?

Superfatted linseed oil soap is a natural, versatile product that can be used for much more than just floor cleaning. The extra linseed oil gives the soap re-greasing properties that make it suitable for a variety of purposes. Here is a comprehensive list of uses:
